By 1959, AirFrance was already covering 350,000 kilometers, crisscrossing the North-Atlantic skies.
Air France started operations from Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport from January 1974 and two years later the iconic, supersonic Concorde was launched. It merged with the UTA to become one of the largest air transport groups in the world. It was in the forefront in creating Sky Team with Delta, Air Mexico and Korean airlines to form a global alliance. In 2003, it teamed with KLM to become the largest European air transport group.
